Kennick Barn is set in a beautiful rural location in the north west corner of Dartmoor National Park. Nearby are three beautiful reservoirs one if which, Kennick reservoir a popular trout fishing lake cared for by the South West Lakes Trust. There are many walks to be had around the reservoirs and the surrounding woodlands. Further afield the delights of the beautiful Teign Valley and thedramatic open moorland of Dartmoor can be enjoyed.
The pretty village of Christow is three miles away and has a village shop well stocked with everyday needs.
Bridford is also nearby and the Bridford Inn is a welcoming local pub.
The Dartmoor towns of Mortonhamstead and Bovey Tracey are each within a 15 minute drive.
The catherdral city of Exeter has many attractions including the cathedral, Roman remains and underground vaults to explore. There are also a wide variety of independent shops. The quayside by the river Exe is a delightful ares with shops and cafes, cycle hire and walks along the river.
